Our customer reviews

First off I want to start by saying that I LOVE Christian Romance Novels. I know that when I pick them up I am not going to have to worry about my girls picking it up and reading it as well. They are always so sweet. Celia and Ty first met in high school. Celia had a dream of owning her own bakery one day. Ty is a hot shot bull rider who has made his mark in the Rodeo world. Ty is in a rodeo in Vegas, and Celia decides to go and see him. When they meet up after words they hit it off again. Celia thinks he is just as beautiful as he was in high school. Just as charming. Then they decide to get married on a whim. (who does that???). The morning after.....Celia wakes up to see Ty standing by a window with a kind of sad look on his face. When he confesses to Celia that he is in love with another woman, and that their marriage was a mistake. SERIOUSLY. Ugh, I wanted to throw my book at this point. I wanted to kick Ty and make him cry. (I think it's funny I can get so upset over fictional characters...I guess that means the author did a great job at having me connect with them). I do NOT blame Celia at all for leaving and telling Ty she will never forgive him. I don't think I would have been able to either. BUT, having said that I think Celia makes a very bad choice after wards also. I do not think a mother should ever keep a child from it's father just because of hurt feelings. (That is my personal opinion...unless there are extenuating circumstances). Neither Ty nor Celia files for divorce which surprises me. Why wouldn't you want that in the past as soon as possible?? When Ty and Celia meet again, Celia still keeps the fact that they have a child together a secret. I do not blame Ty for being angry at all! I could go on an on... When Ty finds out he has a child his life changes. More than even he could expect. I love that even though Celia doesn't want Ty as part of Addie's life they are civil with each other and do whatever is best for their daughter. For me, Ty proves himself to be a "good" guy during the time he visits Addie. Although, I was still angry with him. I don't think I would ever be able to trust him if it was me. I love how sweet Ty is with Addie. I love that the moment he finds out he is a father he can think of nothing else but his child's happiness. Seriously, the sweetest thing. I think he buys her affection too much, but I guess that is his way of making up for lost time. When Ceilia and Addie move to Holly, Texas after a life changing event in Ty's life, I really began to love Ty. He realized his mistake. He tried to fix it. Celia still could not trust him. (I didn't blame her). Addie on the other hand loved unconditionally and it was the sweetest thing ever. She knew what potential Celia and Ty had. Ty and Celia's relationship has its ups and downs. Their banter is hilarious. I couldn't get enough of it. I could see that they loved each other but Celia was so damaged by what happened that she couldn't see the good side of Ty. It took her some time...(It took me some time to like him..hehehe). I just loved everything about this book. I loved that it made me mad, and laugh and cry. I mean, when an author does that to me, I just want to jump up and down. I know, kind of crazy, but I love it when a book can bring such emotions out of me. I love that this book shows that there needs to be a relationship between the parents and God. I know that a lot of people don't like Christian Romance, but I am not one of them. I love them. I said that at the beginning. I think that is why I loved this book so much. I loved that Celia had to find a way to be forgiven and learn to forgive herself, and I love that she knew she could only do that with God's help. I love that it's a book that showed the importance of that relationship. I do not have anything bad to say about this book. Other than I thought Ty was a total jerk at the beginning, but I think he was suppose to be :) It was sweet, funny, and just an all around great read. Source: I got this book as part of a blog tour in return for an honest review. I was not compensated for this review. These are my own PERSONAL thoughts on the book.show more
