From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance. At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She's in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her--and she's forced to decide what her next move should be. Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there's something about Sydney that Ridge can't ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.

I read Maybe Someday because a friend of mine, April loved it and I have very similar reading tastes to her, so I decided to buy it and try it out. I thought I was going to get an okay novel with a few cute moment, but what I got was a beautiful and upbeat read with a twist of a soundtrack. We follow both Sydney and Ridge (One of my OTP) and their story of how they fall in love, but that's not just it. They both have their own problems and what I found so refreshing was that ridge wasn't just your normal make character. He had a unique take on him with him being deaf and I just couldn't believe how well I connected with him. I will say that when cheating happens in books I'm not all for it. I think cheating is the worst thing a human can do after murder, etc. But Colleen made me love it because it felt so realistic with how they dealt with everything. You feel sorry for Maggie, but if you've not read the chapter in her POV on Colleen Hoover's website then definitely do, because it gave a bigger insight into her character and if I'm being honest I want a novella from her perspective! This book is that beautiful that not only do I recommend it to everyone who wants a new book to read, but I've also ordered this book in the US edition because I want all of Colleen's book in both UK and US editions.show moreby kieran
The opening message in this book is from the author and reads: "Dear Reader, Maybe Someday is more than just a story. It's more than just a book. It's an experience...." It is EXACTLY that! Ridge writes music, plays a guitar and is experiencing the worst writers block ever, Sydney aspires to be a music major (against her fathers wishes) and becomes Ridges muse with her lyrics for his songs. Colleen Hoover,(accompanied by Griffin Peterson with music), has created a beautiful journey for the reader, together they have incorporated real music into the story itself, on the kindle and iTunes versions whilst within the story, you can click on the song title which takes you straight to the song on their soundtrack website for the book, it gives the reader a totally interactive experience that builds the depth of the story perfectly. www.maybesomedaysoundtrack.com All I can say is that without telling you about any of the plot, PLEASE PLEASE give this book a chance, even if you don't like any others of Colleen Hoovers, this is an experience, the story and the music go hand in hand, and there is a plot twist thrown at you that you are defineatly NOT prepared for, and without giving it away it will make you appreciate how in life we take the simple things for granted. The story will gut you, it will make you cry crocodile tears, it will pull you apart piece by piece then put you back together, but it will show you a beauty in life that we take for granted. This is one DEFINITELY for the senses!show moreby Stacey Kennard
