Description

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Martin Joseph McHale (October 30, 1886 - May 7, 1979) was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played for six seasons for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians. He won only 12 games in his Major League career, though he did have the distinction of playing with some of the early stars of baseball including Joe Wood, Tris Speaker and Babe Ruth. He may have actually been better known, though, as a fine singer, was dubbed the "Caruso of Baseball" by Variety Magazine, and performed professionally on Vaudeville with another baseball man, Mike Donlin.show more
