The Manipulated Murders
When Mark Crain a gold medal winning Olympic athlete is brutally murdered in a chiropractor's office, Jane and Maureen are presented with several potential suspects. Mark Crain had been a serial womaniser, and left several young women pregnant and a wife beater. Also he was hated by his peers who found him arrogant and in some cases violent. However when alibi's start proving hard to break it seems that they are mistaken. Then one of their suspects is murdered and they appear to have hit a dead end. A lucky break not only solves their murder but also puts a dangerous wanted criminal, who has evaded the law for years behind bars where he belongs. DI Jane Douglas and DS Maureen Phipps along with Constable Sarah Churchill triumph once more.
