Description

RJ SMITH is an optioned Hollywood screenwriter and two time Bestselling Author. Called The Master of Suspense, the nickname stuck, and RJ embraced the title and ability to create compelling cliff-hanging chapters. Although writing fiction across multiple genres, literature didn't come first for the novelist. He started his career by creating SPEC Hollywood screenplays after being recognized by influential writing contests across America. In 2011, New York City Literary Agent, Joyce Keating, asked him to consider writing a novel. Within a year, he pounded out The Santa Claus Killer. Not long after, Mr. Robert Snow of the United Kingdom read the manuscript and signed him to a UK Representation deal. By spring 2013, the author was primed for a big splash in the world of literature with the fall publication of The Santa Claus Killer. With USA Today ready to feature the novel, a book tour was planned and invitations arrived. Unfortunately, in June of that year, the author was severely injured when his bicycle fell into a hole in a sidewalk that was not barricaded. That accident caused serious injuries to the author's C-spine, Lumbar Spine and shoulder which prevented him from attending the scheduled fall book tours, signing and appearances in support of his debut book. Following two laser surgeries, months of rehab and the sudden loss of feeling and movement in his left fingers, hand and arm, he underwent a delicate ACDF with fusion neurosurgery to save his career. Thankfully, in December 2014, he regained use of his fingers and hand. Happy to be alive, he's now back creating the tales his fans have come to expect.show more
