Maldini is digital artist and architect who practice use of digital technology in his creative process. Since 1990's he creates his computer art and multimedia art using contemporary digital technology. His "new media" art carries several artistic techniques: painting, drawing, sculpture, architectural design, even urban planning and music - sound art by using digital technology. His artistic practice follows the development of technology and includes also: video and movie clips, as well as interactive digital art, net art, installation art, even creating virtual reality. Maldini uses digital technology in the process of creation virtual space, virtual sculpture and architectural designs. In his contemporary art he also uses classic techniques of making artefacts as well as the metods of mass production or digital media. On his designs, drawings and architectural structures projects he uses all the means of computer aids: vector drawings, renderings of tridimensional computer models, digital photo manipulation, digital painting, 3D modeling, computer generated images, animation, computer created music, complex of multi media techniques based on various computer programs. His art is highly creative and carries the profound knowledge of art and design. Using digital drawings, conceptual, sculptural or architectural designs he expresses his abstract ideas in the context of the real world. His architectural models are designed as the real artefacts, buildings or architectural technical structures. Even when designs are on the edge of nowadays technological possibilities of building, they represent real world, imaginative and innovative. Maldini designes abstract space, forms, lines or geometry as well as concretely buildings, space structures that are shaped for specific needs and town spaces. He designed townsquares, public monuments, constructions and reconstructions of historic spaces. His ideas are high spirited, courageous and ahead of time. His projects includes: monuments, skyscrapers, urban plans, museums, art galleries, town squares, market halls, even motorboats, refugee shelters of flying rescue baloons. About Slobodan Maldini

Slobodan Maldini (1956) Artist, architect, writer, art historian and theoretician of art. 1978 studied art history and Palladian architecture in Vicenza, Italy, under the mentors professor James S. Ackermann (Harvard University) and Wolfgang Lotz (professor on Institute of Fine Arts, New York and director of Bibliotheca Hertziana - Max Planck Institute of Art History). 1985 Maldini exhibited at the Paris Biennale, together with the world icons of art and architecture: Keith Haring, Aldo Rossi, Tadao Ando. He wrote several books, including: "A Dictionary of Spirituality," "Recuerdo," "Dictionary of Architecture," "Kathmandu, Valey of Gods." His edition "Encyclopedia of architecture in six volumes contains over 40.000 entries and over 30.000 photographs. This is the most comprehensive and up-to-date dictionary of architecture. He has exhibited his works of art in many cities of the world. in the last 40 years has done an impressive artistic opus. In his book "Maldini Digital Art" he presented his works of art that were created during the last decade.show more
