Magpies, Homebodies, and Nomads : A Modern Knitter's Guide to Discovering and Exploring Style
In Magpies, Homebodies, and Nomads, Cirilia Rose pulls back the curtain and takes readers behind the scenes of the design process, showing them how she curates and organises ideas and translates them into knitwear designs. In the process, she gives readers the tools they need to explore and define their own style and to begin to adapt patterns to their own style. She also provides instructions for 25 of her own fashion-fresh projects to knit. Cirilia's book is divided into three themes: Magpies, designing accessories for the small amounts of precious yarns that knitters inevitably collect but don't necessarily know what to do with; Homebodies, designing garments for time spent close to home; and Nomads, designing garments to wear when we're venturing into the world to meet friends and gather inspiration.

"So not only do we have twenty-five patterns--many of them timeless and some of them quirky--we also have a lot of attentive commentary on color selection, styling tips, and useful info on substituting yarns. This is one new book that I would highly recommend. Not only for the patterns, but especially for the spirit of the book and the thoughtful way Cirilia Rose approaches her knitting and explains her process."--Knit and Tonic "I very much enjoyed reading it and admiring all the designs, so many beautiful knits."--Leethal.net "This is a gem of a book."--Kangath Knits
