About William Denis Browne

William Denis Browne was a close friend of Rupert Brooke at Rugby and Cambridge, where he was Organ Scholar of Clare College. E.J Dent considered him to be 'by far the cleverest of the musicians' then at the University. He was killed in action in the Dardanelles in 1915 at the age of 26.
