Maentwrog Road railway station was a railway station on the Great Western Railway's Bala Ffestiniog Line in Wales. It closed to passenger services on 2 January 1960 and freight services on 27 January 1961. The line through the station site was reopened in 1964 for freight to the nearby Trawsfynydd nuclear power station. During the 1980s a siding was constructed in the former goods yard at Maentwrog Road for freight deliveries to the explosives factory in Penrhyndeudraeth.show more
