The Love of the World: An Exploration of God's Versus Man's Rigtheousness, and It's Impact on Our Eternal Life
The subject of this book is the righteousness of God versus the righteousness of man. God has a way of thinking which is superior to man's way of thinking, Isaiah 55:8-9. Man's thinking is flawed because he is a corrupt, sinful creature, Jeremiah 17:9. God's way of thinking is right or righteous. Man's way of thinking is moral or ethical. Moral or ethical behavior is flawed because it is human righteousness and not divine. God contends that man's thinking is flawed and has come short of His perfection, Romans 3:23. Mankind has established a system of right and wrong which is represented in government, religion, mores, ethics and morality, Romans 10:3. Jesus Christ was sent by God the Father as "The Word of God" and "the light of the world" in order to replace man's rightness with His own, John 14:6. When one has God's righteousness he is said to be righteous and is therefore qualified for eternal life. Without God's righteousness it is impossible to have eternal life, Matthew 5:20.
