#1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends With Us held readers spellbound with her novel Hopeless, the story of what happened when a troubled girl named Sky encountered a long-lost childhood friend, Dean. Now, in Losing Hope, we finally learn the truth about Dean Holder.

Haunted by the little girl he couldn't save from imminent danger, Holder's life has been overshadowed by feelings of guilt and remorse. He has never stopped searching for her, believing that finding her would bring him the peace he needs to move on. However, Holder could not have anticipated that he would be faced with even greater pain the moment they reconnected.

In Losing Hope, Holder reveals the way in which the events of Sky's youth affected him and his family, leading him to seek his own redemption in the act of saving her. But it is only in loving Sky that he can finally begin to heal himself.

Our customer reviews

“Time has completely stopped, and all I’m thinking about while we kiss is how this is what saves people. Moments like these with people like her are what make all the sufferings worth it.” The second installment in the Hopeless series is beyond describable. This is not just a book, this is a masterpiece that will make you cry in wonders. Losing Hope is told from Dean Holder’s point of view, but don’t be discouraged. It doesn’t mean that it is the same as Hopeless just retold in Holder’s perspective, oh no it is so much more than that! We learn so many new information in the book, we learn more about Less if Holder remotely touched your heart in Hopeless, he will pulverize it in Losing Hope! I’m in absolute awe of Colleen, she has the most beautiful talent in the world. She makes us believe and feel the most extraordinary emotions of her characters in her stories. She is beyond amazing, one thing I’ve learned reading her writing is that, no matter what she writes, I’m buying it, since I know it will be epic anyway. There is no specific part of the book, I would say was my favourite because I LOVED EVERYTHING, every chapter, every page, every word, absolutely everything in the book was my favourite. I swear I highlighted literally every page! The book is pure awesomeness word for word. “I want to kiss her so ******* bad but I’m too scared. I’m scared if I kiss her too soon, it’ll feel like every other kiss she’s ever received. She’ll feel nothing. I don’t want her to feel nothing, when I kiss her. I want her to feel everything.” SQUEEEEE!!! like I said, I LOVE seriously and literally everything in this book, from the cover to the characters. Holder has ruined me for every guy out there, I compare them all to Dean Holder and they all fall short. I’m kinda hoping that there is a guy out there who will treat me the same crazy, loving, sweet, funny and asinine way that Holder treats Skyshow more
