Logistics: Chances and Challenges
Industrial logistics is successful management of space and time in the order transaction chain. The driving forces behind all orders are the requirements of customers and markets. This means that the performance of a logistics system is indivisable. Logistics either succeeds or fails, there is no middle way. Success is the result of joint effort: all managers, staff and logistics partners contribute with their perspectives, responses and actions. This video aims to bring the "joint effort" principle home to decision-makers in the logistics chain. In a combination of computer animation and film, this video shows what really counts in practice, that is the need to create a seamless flow of information, material and goods in the logistics chain and to gear all actions towards market and customer requirements.
