The Locutionary : A Marian Odyssey: Mary's Message to Us All for Our Journey Home: Do What Jesus Tells You to Do.
The Locutionary: A Marian Odyssey details a journey made by the author in 1991-93 in a search for advisement and support for the creation of a conscience formative, national pro-life memorial. This project of now over 23 years of many challenging obstacles details the author's efforts to employ a specialized Christian art form as a keystone foundation for all human enterprises, beginning with the protection of human life and the formation of faith and a Christian conscience. The account details a journey which depicts the author's travels as representing the Christian Reader's journey through life in our search for answers in the way of guidelines for living provided in the teachings of Jesus Christ. To that end Kevin's efforts also include the promotion of what is herein introduced as the Formatrix Criterion, a body of seven commands of Jesus implicit to which are seven universal resources. These resources have been discerned by the author as common to our stewardship capabilities but not equal in measure to each of us; which inequality warrants that we are to serve as Good Samaritans sharing what means we have to enable others to serve God and the eternally common good of all. Along the way the author meets and mistakenly ends up seeking out a number of Catholic locutionaries and seers, several of whom claim to have received locutions for Kevin from the Virgin Mary. The various messages consist of counsels giving direction and encouragement to him concerning Our Lady's purported plans for him and his writing. However, through many travails Kevin discovers that he has already received the single and only "message" that he and every Christian needs from Our Lady: It is the same "locution" found in the Holy Bible that all Christians have received from her down through the ages, namely "Do whatever Jesus tells you to do."
