In this story, the wheat is is ready and Mr Jones from neighbouring Beech Farm arrives with his enormous yellow combine harvester. Stan and Little Red Tractor take all the golden grains back to the barn, where Stan shovels some into sacks to take up to Stumpy's Windmill. They are grinding the wheat grains into flour when they see, Rusty, Stumpy's ginger kitten, stuck out on the sails. Stan climbs out of the window and rescues Rusty but then finds that he too is stuck! Stan whirls around on the windmill sails before he manages to get them both, safely down to the ground.show more

About Peter Tye

Peter Geoffrey Tye: Joined the Royal Navy at the age of fifteen and completed eight years service. Peter then embarked on a marketing career which led to copy writing and setting up 'Tyelines' his own writing business from number 87 Fleet Street in London. From his 4th floor office he looked out over the Daily Express building to the front, and St. Bride's churchyard at the rear. Peter's involvement with children's entertainment began in when he produced Colin Reeder's Little Red Tractor Stories for video. Following Colin's untimely death he wrote new Little Red Tractor stories for TV and book publication. He now lives in Norfolk, where he is an enthusiastic, if very average golfer and continues to write stories for children - young and old.show more
