Though the series has been without a new book for two and a half years, the author organized a giant LARP (Live Action Role Playing) game event in Bath, England for May 2016 and sold out tickets in just a few days. Diversion is organizing a promo to be given away at the LARP event promoting the release of Book 4 in August.

- Popular Genre: Urban fantasy has been a successful market since the late 1990s when Laurell Hamilton began writing her Anita Blake and Merry Gentry novels. Emma Newman freshens the concept up with the addition of an equally popular Jane Austen/Georgette Heyer-style setting of alt-Victorian England.

- Author is extremely proactive self-marketer. She is active online and on social media (including Twitter, FB, and her personal blog) and has a long-running podcast "Tea and Jeopardy" which has been nominated for a Hugo Award two years in a row. In 2015, her podcast averaged up to 10,000 downloads per month.

Review quote

"Emma Newman has built a modern fantasy world with such elan and authority her ideas of why and how the seemingly irrational world of Fairy works should be stolen by every other writer in the field. Her characters are complex and troubled, courageous at times, and foolhardy. This book of wonders is first rate."-Bill Willingham, Eisner Award-winning creator of Fables
