No human tie, Like that which binds us to the silent bier Of some departed hero. Cold, but clear The rigid face of death--it seems to tell Of one unchanging truth. The falling tear Waters the seeds of faith, and proves a well Of gushing holy thoughts, which fear can never quell. Zechariah xii. 10, 11. t Jer. xxii. 10--16.
