Description

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Lezayre was a station on the Manx Northern Railway, later owned and operated by the Isle of Man Railway; it served the village of the same name in the Isle of Man and was an intermediate stopping place on a line that ran between St. John's and the northern town or Ramsey. Lezayre Station, situated on the outskirts of Ramsey, was opened at the same time as the MNR's St. John's to Ramsey line on September 23, 1879. The station was provided with a distinctive sandstone building, which was also used by the level crossing keeper.show more
