Description

An artist gorilla, a sneaky impostor and an unlikely twist. The trusty Twin Detectives are on the case!

Camilla the gorilla who lives at Appleton Animal Park loves to paint and her colourful canvases are proudly displayed outside her enclosure. But when someone steals her paintings, Camilla starts refusing to eat. Lexi and Lottie along with Fred and their trusty sidekick Mozart soon find the artworks for sale in a local gallery, but can't prove they were painted by the gorilla. So, with Camilla's well-being in mind, the Twin Detectives take extreme action and use their identical appearances to try and reclaim the art.

About Melanie Alexander

Melanie is a multi-award winning screenwriter and currently works at SLR Productions where she is in charge of writing and development on productions. Melanie has been in the Television writing industry for 16 years and is a highly acclaimed children's television writer for many award winning series. Melanie has been the Script Producer and Editor of successful SLR TV series such as the adapted UK picture books Captain Flinn and The Pirate Dinosaurs, and the acclaimed classic property Guess How Much I Love You .

She also teaches Writing for Children's Television at the Australian Film, TV and Radio School and her writing career spans live-action, puppetry, animation, multimedia platforms and character costume plays. Melanie has a background in teaching and spent 10 happy years teaching children ranging from 4 to 12 years, which has given her great insight into her audience.
