Description

Everyone is a part of the Circle of Time, eternally reliving the same life. But Destrou is the anomaly. And this is his first chance at life--maybe his last, if everything works out.

S'rae is a lonely girl born millennia after Destrou. Before she could achieve her dream to graduate top of her class at the School of Wind, the professor tells her she is one of the twelve destined students from the three elemential schools chosen to visit the Valley of Gaia. Fun, right? Except this destiny was written by the blood of Gods and no one has seen the Valley in over three thousand years.

How are they linked?

Destrou has a book written about his life, which has been bound away since the beginning of time.

And S'rae is destined to read it.

At first, reading a book to uncover a secret seems foolish until S'rae finds herself with the ability to affect its world, watching the words of his life change before her eyes. But that's nothing compared to the shadows plotting to kill them to make sure Destrou's secret is not told.

As S'rae is drawn deeper into the book, it teaches her that no one ever truly knows when they're the villain in someone else's story. Not only must she find the courage to face impossible choices and figure out how she's connected to Destrou, but she must battle the dark secrets in her own heart that tell her she may be the villain in her story.

Goodreads 5-star reviews:

"I never know what to expect from a YA novel. Some of them are shallow and unfulfilling. Some are complex and leave me wanting a sequel. "The Legends of Eve" falls into the later category. The author has created a fantasy world that begs to be explored, populated by characters who worm their way into the reader's heart. Within these pages are fantastic creatures, magical spells, and mysterious relics that flesh out a story ripe with compelling characters and a riveting plot."

"Let me just let start by saying, it's not often that I'm HOOKED on a book within a few pages - yes, a few chapters, but hardly ever a few pages. Yet somehow, this time, I struggled to put the book down. It was about 9pm when I was able to open the ARC and after glancing at the clock at 1am I finally put the book down."

*

"If you have the chance to read this, I would 100% suggest you do. I enjoyed every second and may even go back a second time to pick at the things I may have missed."

"This book is FANTASTIC!!! I got my ARC copy earlier and all I can really say is WOW!!! If you like fantasy you will LOVE this! The world grabs the reader and drags them into the story, I could not put it down! The storylines are well written and these characters make you care about them. The descriptions make the scenery come alive. My emotions went from heart pounding to tears to laughter and back again. The writer has done an amazing job with this book. HIGHLY recommended!"

"WOW what an adventure that was! I absolutely loved this book I finished it in a few days the story just flowed so well and it was easy to get lost in the book without the writing becoming confusing or boring.
The depth to each of the characters kept me entranced, the world building and descriptive writing made me picture everything clearly inside my head. I just loved the magic system and the way the magic elements was separated into different schools too. Just a terrific fantasy book!"

"I loved this book from the beginning and thought it was written extremely well and also amazingly thought out and well planned. It had a good rhythm and pacing that kept you interested. The characters are fun and relatable along with diverse. Offering interesting perspectives on what it means being a hero vs a villain compared to your story and others. The world itself blew me away and you could tell much thought went into creating it, something I love and appreciate as a reader."
