Le FlorilÃ©ge de Nassau-Idstein.
The Thirty Years' War had devastated the land and the castle of Count Johann von Nassau-Idstein. Lover of gardens and it created one, combining rare plants, caves decorated with shells, fountains and flowerbeds in the form of fruits and vegetables. Nassau then asked the painter Johann Walter de Strasbourg reproduce this garden.
