Excerpt: ... and provided further, That before such dissection be allowed, the consent of the next of kin of said deceased person shall be obtained, unless said deceased person shall have been neglected or abandoned by said kin for a period of not less than six (6) months next preceding the time of death of such person, and when no inquiry for or in regard to said deceased person shall have been made by the next of kin of said deceased person, for a period of six (6) months next preceding the death of such person, such person shall be deemed abandoned for said period." 2. Be it Enacted by the Legislatur-.e of the State of South Dakota. 1. AMENDMENT. That Section 1 of Chapter 5, of Chapter 78, of the Session Laws of 1893, be-amended so as to read as follows: Section 1. Powers and Duties of Board. The district school board shall have the general charge, direction and management of the school or schools of the district, and the care, custody and control of all the property belonging to it, subject to the provisions of this act.
