Acxuowwnosn THE Oars.-A correspondent sends us the following gem of criminal pleading, which was filed in the court of a Kansas justice of the peace: "E. L. Warner, of Lawful age. Being duley sworn on oath depothes and says--That One John McKibbon did on or about the 4th days of February A. D. 1888 did then and their in the County and State Foresead did Willfully Malisiously and Unlawfully defain and Liable the sead afiiaut E. L. Warner in that sead affiant had stolen Oats from the sead John McKibbon--on or about the 1th day of January A. D. 1888 Contrary to Statutes in like Cases Made and provided." A Fasncn Conar m Consuur.rrron.--At a recent session of the Sens Assize Court the judges were sadly divided in their views on a law-point. The presiding judge, M. Moussu, felt such great contempt for the opinions of two of his assistant judges and the public prosecutor that he struck out forcibly with his two fists. The opposition, however, was ready with such strong arguments that M. Moussu was speedily overruled and had to call in a doctor. Another assistant judge, who took no part therein, watched the debate from a place of safety. During the consultation a crowd of excitable citizens, attracted by the noise, gathered outside the window shrieking "A baa!" and, after the court had reached its decision, marched joyously off to wreck a cafe.
