Review quote

The Laminated Man continues the Eastbourne career of the likeable Inspector Jack Buchanan and his colleagues. The plot in this novel revolves around a complex multi threaded investigation. The various subplots all resolve as the story unfolds but not necessarily in the way you might expect - a credit to the author for not being too predictable. Buchanan grows on the reader and you are left looking forward to the next episode.

Another book about DCI Jack Buchanan and his sidekick DS Street. I like these characters, their mature/youthful pairing gives a good anchor and familiarity to the story. Murder and daring do in this part of East Sussex. (We're not really that bad). There are a lot of twists and turns in this story, so keep the mind focussed. Good holiday reading.

Excellent book had me gripped all the time way through !

With its Eastbourne setting, once again we meet popular Detective Chief Inspector Jack Buchanan and his work partner, Detective Sergeant Jill Street. Investigating murders is what they do - but this one is particularly gruesome. The body, with arms outstretched, is nailed to a sheet of plywood in an industrial oven and encapsulated in fibreglass. As a finishing touch there is a red-feathered dart in its forehead. Not pleasant! Why was the person killed in this brutal way? Buchanan and Street are on the case!

There are plenty of twists and turns in this fast-paced novel, with several more murders to solve. If you are into detective novels then this is for you. If you are not - then why not give it a try? Buchanan has attracted a lot of fans!
