Our customer reviews

Eleanor is a strong-willed, very determined teenager with a heart of kindness - but a tendency to seem rather stubborn. But, this main character is full of charm and you will love getting to know her as the story unfolds. Eleanor doesn't have a good relationship with her father - how could she trust and love a man who sent her own mother to the prison tower, because he believed something which wasn't true? Her own experiences have caused her to be wary of strangers and she finds herself feeling firmly set against a young man who arrives nearby - she's especially angry when she finds out she has to marry him. Now all she plans to do in life is escape - free her mother from the snares of her cell and run away, leaving behind all the troubles she doesn't want to bear. But, she seems to be found wherever she tries to run to and soon she realises she may not feel the same way about marriage anymore. Mystery, suspense, danger and love - this is a great book!!show more
