The comparison is exceedingly appropriate and more definite than it is in the examples where rose occurs. These same foregoing commonplaces appear again, forming an entirely new class of examples, as they are cleverly or esthetically handled: 19. Here we have an adaptation of the rose as queen of flowers in order to condemn the tale-bearers. It is superior to the other examples of this figure--Nos. 10-12--in the distinctive idea it contains in the second part ot the comparison. 20.
