Sunday, Oct. 5th, 1902, Howard Presbyterian Sunday-School held a very successful Rally Day. It was a red letter day in point of attendance. A large number of invitations to the rally were sent out by mail, containing President Roosevelt's letter to Mr. Chas. Trumbull, editor of the Sunday School limes, commending the Rally Day, and saying, "The SundaySchool workers are entitled to the hearty support of all well-wishers to the nation." Underneath the President's letter was printed: SPECIAL INVITATION. You are cordially invited to attend the Rally Day exercises of the Howard Presbyterian Sunday School next Sundav, Oct 5th, 1902, at 11 A. M., Oak and 'Baker Streets. L. H. Cary, Supt. Rev. John S. Thomas, Pastor. In response to this invitation a very large number of pupils and friends gathered in the church, where they were presented with an attractively printed program.
