Review Text

This is a literate, very suspenseful novelized filmscript - or at least the last third is all broken up into the camera shots and Joseph Levine is making the flick. The story is about an American spy's revenge when his closest fellow spy in Berlin sells out, shoots the hero and eventually causes the death of the hero's wife and kids in the States. Main locales are Berlin, Liverpool, Newcastle, St. Louis, Santa Monica and Washington, all flavorfully presented. When the hero's own agency sells him out, it is the La Carre switcheroo??.
