It is located in Flagstaff County, east of Camrose at the junction of Highway 13 and Veterans Memorial Highway, Highway 36. The mayor of Killam is Bud James. In 2006, Killam had a population of 1,019 living in 435 dwellings, a 1.5% increase from 2001. The town has a land area of 4.53 km2 (1.75 sq mi) and a population density of 224.7 /km2 (582 /sq mi).[1] Killam is the largest town in the County of Flagstaff and is the hub of the agricultural trade in the area.
