Description

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Kellner-B chereau EC.4 and Kellner-B chereau ED.5 were a pair of French training aircraft with side-by-side seating and a novel "double wing" patented by their designer, Louis B chereau. The principal difference was that the EC.4 had an all-wood structure whereas the ED.5 was all-metal. Both were single engine, mid-wing cantilever monoplanes. A trainer is a class of aircraft designed specifically to facilitate in-flight training of pilots and aircrews. The use of a dedicated trainer aircraft with additional safety features-such as tandem flight controls, forgiving flight characteristics and a simplified cockpit arrangement-allows pilots-in-training to safely advance their real-time piloting, navigation and/or warfighting skills without the danger of overextending their abilities alone in a fully featured aircraft.show more
