About Merrie Rolland

Merrie (Satrom) Rolland is a North Dakota native and UND graduate, grateful for her midwestern roots. She is also an avid reader who enjoys old movies, theatre, the outdoors, and spending summers on the lake in northern Minnesota with family and friends. This is Rolland's second children's book, inspired by grandson Kellan following cranial surgery at four months of age and the helmet that became a required part of his attire for the next twelve months. Though at times uncomfortable, our little guy remained resilient, joyful and eager to explore! And he does just that . . . setting off on a new adventure in "Kellan and the Big Blue Sky." If you enjoyed this little tale, be sure to look for "Carter and the Deep Blue Sea," inspired by grandson Carter and a perfect day on Lake Bemidji in northern Minnesota.show more
