I will not annoy you or take up your time by detailing the anatomy of the ovary, assuming that every member of this society is, for all practical purposes, familiar with it.
I do, however, wish you very carefully to distinguish between cystic disease of the ovaries, as we shall study it to-day, and ovarian cysts, or tumors, that we shall have little to say about at present.
