Description

When Ryan and Tessa Monroe perish in their home's blazing inferno their three sons, long estranged from each other, return to Tucson for the funeral. Differences continue to divide them until two spent bullets, revealed in the hand of the undertaker, brings them to the shocking realization that their parents were murdered and the fire set to cover it. While the brothers search for who would murder two beloved, elderly store owners, a long-buried history emerges painting a picture of a past they never knew existed; a past that boils down to one man and his obsession for revenge. During their hunt for the murderer, the brothers come to realize that blood is thicker than the petty differences that have divided their past as the quest for the justice owed their parents rebuilds the bonds between them.show more

About Dave P Fisher

Mountain men and explorers make up the branches of Dave's family tree. His mother's side was from Canada where the men plied the fur trade, venturing into the Rocky Mountains during the beaver boom in the 1820's. His father was born in 1905 and saw the last of the Old West. His grandfather was Blackfoot born in a tepee on the reservation in Montana. He was a hunter and horseman who brought a great deal of Old West influence into the Fisher family. From them Dave heard the stories of the West that was. A life-long Westerner Dave inherited that pioneer blood and followed in the footsteps of his ancestors. Originally from Oregon, he worked cattle and rode saddle broncs. His adventures have taken him across the wilds of Alaska as a horsepacker and hunting guide, through the Rocky Mountains of Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado where he wrangled, guided and packed for a variety of outfitters. Dave weaves his experience into each story. His writing, steeped in historical accuracy and drawing on extensive research, draws his readers into the story by their realism and Dave's personal knowledge of the West, its people, and character. He has near to 500 fiction and non-fiction works published. Included are 20 western action/adventure and outdoor novels and short story collections, 70 short stories, and inclusion in 18 anthologies. He is the first, and currently the only, writer to win the Will Rogers Medallion Award three times. In 2008 for Best Western Fiction, in 2013 for Best Western Humor, and 2014 for Best Western Novel. Nine of his short stories have earned Reader's Choice Awards. You can learn more about Dave's background and writing at his website: www.davepfisher.comshow more
