Description

"Death is a part of life. Just as birth opens the door to our existence, at some point, dying will force us through an exit. After the passing of a loved one, those left behind can feel utterly alone and abandoned, trying to figure out how to continue on in a world that now feels wrong to them. Nothing is easy about that. Grief can take a strong hold. It is a force to be reckoned with, having the power to knock us completely off our feet. In one single moment of time everything can change. Those who have lost someone close to them may also lose other relationships because of things that are said or done at a very critical time. When that occurs, repairing the damage can be difficult, if not impossible. There are many variables in living on this planet. Not all things happen to everyone. However, there is one thing that will occur in each of our lives. At some point, you and I will both experience the death of someone close. There is no getting around it. The human body does not live forever."show more

About Jana Brock

Jana Brock has been writing for over 30 years. She has numerous small publications to her credit, including a book of poetry which is presently in rewrite. She has taught classes in grant writing, motivation and topics required for local and state government stakeholders. Brock is presently developing several courses, including a critique and editing course for online education. Having professional backgrounds in both law and emergency management, Brock's full-time positions have required her to write complex and technical documents. Over many years, these opportunities allowed her to enhance her writing skills, which resulted in national publication of her work. In addition to her regular employment, Brock has maintained her creative writing. Among Jana Brock's other works in progress is her light-hearted, anything-but-ordinary cookbook, Recipes from the Vault. Additionally, her novel, The Rose Wall, is scheduled for publication in late 2015. This book is the first of a fiction trilogy in the supernatural genre. Brock lives in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon with her husband. Her daughter, Alexis, and nephew, O'Dell live nearby.show more
