About Hayley Lawson-Smith

Hayley Lawson-Smith is a playwright and novelist, with the first two novels in her trilogy 'The Julius Romeros Extravaganza' published last year to excellent reviews. Her plays have been well received in one act play festivals across Victoria. Hayley's also had several ten minute plays produced as part of the Melbourne Short and Sweet Festival through Dramatic Pause, the theatre company she started with her husband David. Hayley's play 'Glory Be' was nominated for best comedy in the Ararat One Act Play Festival, and she was nominated for a Best Playwright Award in the Monash One Act Play Festival. Her ten minute play, 'Between Water and Air' received a Judges Choice in this year's Short and Sweet Festival and her short story 'Rejected' was given a commendation at this year's My Brother Jack Literary Awards.
