Sharpsteen, merchant, of the City of New York being of sound, disposing mind, memory and understanding, do make this, in my own handwriting, my last will and testament, viz.: 945 1 give and bequeath to my brother, George G. Sbarpsteen ($20,000), say twenty thousand dollars. I give and bequeath to my sister, Julia A. Halsted, my farm in "Washington Hollow, on which she now resides, with all thereon that belongs to me, and in addition ($15,000), say fifteen thousand dollars. I give and bequeath to each of my four nieces, daughters of my sister Julia, as follows: To Virginia Sherrill ($5,000), say five thousand dollars. 946 To Klla TIalstod ($5,000), say five thousand dollars. To Ida Halsted ($5,000), say five thousand dollars. To Arabella C. Halsted ($5,000), say five thousand dollars. I give and bequeath to each of my three nephews, sons of my sister Julia, as follows: To Frank W. Halsted ($3,000), say three thousand dollars. To Irving Halsted ($3,000), say three thousand dollars.
