Description

Excerpt from Journal of the Sixty-Eighth Annual Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of North Carolina: Held in St. Stephen's Church, Oxford, on the 14th, 15th, and 16th Days of May, A. D., 1884 Your Committee have not deemed it to be within their province to offer any suggestions as to the way in which these trusts are to: be dis charged. But think that this Convention should recognize and formally accept the trust thus imposed upon it by the will of Bishop Atkinson, and that it should take such further action as to it may seem proper, in order to provide for the discharge of the responsibilities arising there from. We therefore recommend the adoption of the following resolution: Resolved. That this Convention accept the trust imposed upon it, by the last will and testament Of its late revered Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Thomas Atkinson, D. D., LL. D., in the bequest Of property for the support Of the Ravenscroft Associate Mission and training School; and that it will take such further action as may be necessary for the due administration of the same.
