Alban, Bovee, Dunn, Hunter, McLane, Squires, Sterling and Vittum, --8 Those who voted in the Negative were Messrs. Bashford, Blair, Bowen, Briggs, Gary, Lewis, Miller, Pinkney, Prentice, Reed, Whittlesey and Wiel, --12. Mr. Wiel moved that said bill be indefinitely postponed, Which was disagreed to. The question recurring upon the passage of said bill, Mr. Wiel moved a call of the Senate, which was had. Whereupon it appared that all the Senators were present except Mr. Sharpstein. Mr. Blair moved to dispense with proceedings under the call, Which was disagreed to. Mr. Lewis moved to reconsider the vote by which the Senate refused to dispense with proceedings under the call. Which was agreed to. And the qneson then being upon dispensing with further proceedings under the call, It was decided in the affirmative. Mr. Lewis then moved to lay said bill "No. 228 S, upon the table. Which was disagreed to. The question again recurring upon the passage of said bill, It was decided hi the affirmative. In committee of the whole for the consideration of Said bills Isos. 307, 308 and 311 S, was referred to the Committee on claims. Mr. McLane, on leave granted, presented the account of B. F. Hopkins, Which was referred to the committee on claims.
