Mr. Phelps, from the joint committee on Enrollment made the following report: The joint committee on Enrollment report that they did, on this day, to wit. the 29th day of January, A. D. 1846, present the following bills and memorials to the Governor for his approval, to wit: " An act fixing the salary of the Attorney General; " " An act relative to the county of Crawford and the counties thereunto attached for judicial purposes;" " A memorial to the Congress of the United States relative to a mail route from the Falls of St. Croix to La Pointe, on Lake Superior;" and " A memorial to Congress for an appropriation to complete the improvement of the steamboat landing at Potosi, on the Mississippi river, in Wisconsin." JOHN CATLIN, NOAH PHELPS, Of (he joint committee on Enrollment. ' Mr. Croswell, from the committee on Schools, by leave introduced No. 65, (H. of R.) "A bill to amend an act entitled 'an act to provide for the selection of certain lands reserved by act of Congress for the use and support of a University in the Territory of Wisconsin;" Which was read a first and second times, Mr. Phelps moved that the House adjourn; Which was agreed to. So the House adjourned until to-morrow at nine o'clock, A.M. Friday, January 30, 1846. Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Spaulding. i The Journal was read and corrected. Petitions were presented and referred as follows, to wit: By Mr. Dennis. A petition of Edmund P. Butts and 44 others, inhabitants of towns 6 and 7, range 11, east, for the organization of a town by the name of Chatham; Laid on the table.
