The eruption was mainly confined to the axillary region, had existed for a year or more and caused no little distress. The itching was intense and of a paroxysmal character, robbing her of sleep and impairing her general health in a marked degree. The patient was thin and of a highly neurotic tem perament and it was not easy to determine to what extent the impaired health was a cause or a result of the distressing dermatosis.
