Review Text

Jim For Sale pushes sex, any kind of available sex which you can grab on the street or in a shower room, and panders sentiment at the same time. Jim's a joyboy who plays every night in Laguna Beach and works by day in a hospital as a psychiatric attendant: there he meets Susan, a youngster of fourteen whom he thinks is twelve, who doesn't talk to anyone except Jim, who's been adopted, raped and now dumped by her father to be transferred to a state hospital. En route there Jim decides to make a home for her but to pay for the drugstore hamburgers they eat he has to hustle (an old woman; a television producer; etc.). Susan turns on him after he's arrested; and at the end, in a really hoked-up arrangement, Susan and Jim will get married. Until then this midnight cowboy just keeps stepping in it.
