Jim graduated from New Trier High School, Winnetka, Il. in 1980, and then Ithaca College in 1985. In High school he worked part time at Associated Audio Visual Corp., Evanston, Il, played varsity hockey and Lacrosse, (received the high scorer award). and performed locally with his band. In college he worked at Pyramid Sound Recording, Ithaca, NY and CMC Films, New York, NY. After graduating, he founded Audio Visual Arts, 110 Hudson St, New York, NY. Clients included Pyramid Sound, Anthrax Live, Bobby Brown, Chris Stein / Debbie Harry, David Beal / Michael Shrieve, Dan Hartman, Joe Cocker, Peter Gabriel, MCW featuring "Lenny Kravitz," Force MD's, The Burn Sisters, Dick Scott Entertainment / MCA / Tiffany, Motown / L. Cope, Ballet Hispanico, Paramount-Famous, plus many more.
