Jessa's Prayer is about the wife of a world renowned geologist and geophysicist, Grant Franklin. Grant is a genius in his own right, and puts together a team of equals to aid the world in predicting the time and place of earthquakes. Occasionally Jessa accompanies Grant on assignment, but not this time. Wanting her to be safe, Grant tells her to stay home and not to accompany him to China. But tragedy strikes the team and on a treacherous mountainside all are lost in a sudden temblor. Or are they? In the seemingly unending rains the interpreter's daughter hears a moaning voice, coming from somewhere near... in that moment Mai- Ling knew it could only be one man. The two devise a plan for both to flee the country that Grant is convinced has been using its thousands of miles of mining tunnels, to cause and manipulate many devastating temblors throughout the planet. Before the landslide that took his team, Grant's satellite readout pointed him to another grave secret of manipulation, and the reason for China's horrific flooding. Heknew that very soon they would be looking for him, and that there would be no place to hide, in all the world. He would need a diversion; a manipulation of his own. But could Jessa ever forgive him?
