Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Jesenice railway station is a railway station in the town of Jesenice, Slovenia. The station building was built between 1953 and 1955 to replace a prewar structure destroyed by Allied air raids in early 1945. Faced in white marble and featuring longitudinally compressed hexagonal windows, it is noted as an unusually adventurous example of modernist architecture. It is the last major station before the Austrian border.
