Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Jerry Colquitt (born June 28, 1972) is a former American football player and coach. Colquitt was the backup quarterback to Andy Kelly and Heath Shuler at Tennessee from 1990-1993. When Shuler entered the draft following his junior season, Colquitt became Tennessee's starting quarterback. Seven plays into his first start, Colquitt injured his knee and was out for the rest of his senior season allowing Colorado Rockies star Todd Helton to take his place at quarterback and later Indianapolis Colts star Peyton Manning. Tennessee tried to persuade the NCAA to restore Colquitt's final year of eligibility, however the NCAA decided not to grant the university's request.
