James Munkers : Super Freak
James Munkers' world is changing. New town. New school. New hallucinations of bright blue animals wreaking havoc. And when you add a leather-clad maniac who haunts the back garden, the loopy girl at school with her messages of doom, a cryptic prophecy and a bunch of shadowy strangers intent on murder, it looks as though James won't even make it to Christmas. The sensible thing to do would be to run. To hide. To generally escape. But James Munkers can't hide. He can't escape. Because James Munkers is different. James Munkers has a destiny. But James Munkers would rather forget all that and go back to playing God of War.

The telling sign that a book is GREAT is how it affects your daily routine... A so-so book is one that takes you months to read because it's not really drawing you in. A good book is one you try and get to whenever you have a free moment.... A GREAT book is one that you forego sleep, food and perhaps even a toilet break for (the last is not recommended...). The last time I passed on sleep to keep reading was when I picked up the first book in a series about a boy wizard... Sharing exceptional company, James Munkers: Superfreak is another GREAT book! Deftly crafted by Australian author, Lindsey Little, in her first book achieves that 'just right' balance of suspense, intrigue, humour and magic that leaves you hanging on until the very last page. And then leaves you wanting more. I can only hope there is a sequel in the future and we haven't seen the last of the Guardians and their polar opposites, the Hoarders... So if you want a great read that is witty, charming and will keep you turning pages, then this is the book for you Read it. Come on, I dare you...show moreby Joe-Anthony Rotella
