Our customer reviews

Despite having grown out of Zero Punctuation several years ago and becoming far too busy with being a grown-up for geeky pastimes, I really do enjoy Ben's novels and can only hope that he keeps these coming. I originally dismissed his writing as being some kind of sub par drivel that gets eagerly lapped up by over enthusiastic fans, but had to eat my words when I couldn't put neither Jam nor Mogworld down. Croshaw's social satire is spot on, and the scale and grandeur of his adventures keeps you saying "just one more page" right until the end. I would recommend this to fans of Terry Pratchett or anyone who enjoys the lighter side of geekdom!show more

The premise of Croshaw's second work is quite amusing and filled with lots of possibilities which he does explore well enough in the context of the so-called Jampocalypse and makes good use of the format that separates chapters in days. All in all it's a fun read that flows well enough and should keep you amused in it's absurd premise and characters. Although I found the last couple of chapters a bit clichéd it was still fun.show more

This is my first contact with a book written by Yahtzee, although I am familiar with him since I follow his show Zero Punctuation. It's a pretty easy read, the plot is fun and it's hilarious to boot. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, it's more along the lines of a fun B-movie, so keep that in mind before buying it.show more
