Mary (Midge) Miller-Hall is a native of Columbus, OH. Her life experiences and knowledge is far reaching to those in the deaf community. A child of 11 born to deaf parents, Midge has given an insight into the deaf community that many of us would never experience otherwise. Within the pages of her first children's book, the experience of asking for something as simple as a drink is revealed for what most request as a young child was for her and her siblings - a challenge. Midge was raised in a home with two deaf parents and has lived a life that is reflective of what can be done when you live your life according to your purpose and not the hurdles you must cross. She began to seriously write after returning from Government employment as an analyst; this book was written because of her passion to volunteer and give back to her community. Midge's ability to speak and sign when communicating with others has been a blessing for as she was able to use the skill to complete school while being the voice for those deaf traveling through Columbus, OH in a time where the inability to hear was a "curse" and not a handicap. In addition to this book, Mary (Midge) Miller-Hall has also written: Black, Deaf & Dumb, Soup, and Prostitution of the Constitution all of written works is available for sale at www.shadepublishing.com and local book stores near you.
