A must read for every independent filmmaker, Jack London's Love of Life: the Making of the Movie takes you inside the determined effort of a small group of filmmakers as they produce a larger than life motion picture. With contributions from the producer, director, lead actor and composer you'll get an insiders look at how an independent film is made. The appeal of Love of Life is how it brings you quickly into the middle of the story. You feel the cold and starvation of the man. You see his determination to make it back to the woman he loves. You see him struggle against his own delusions to survive against all odds. And it is in that very effort, in his will to live, that you come to realize how precious life is.
