Erskine, '98-'99, and two brother pastors at Linden, Mich., have united in evangelistic meetings. B. B. Winter, '97-'98, has received 24 members into his (Cong.) church at Sault Ste Marie, Mich., since Sept. last. Rev. Geo. H. Thompson recently closed a successful union meeting at Tonkawa, O. T., with 260 professed conversions. A. E. Moody, '93, has been called to be assistant pastor of the Ist Presb. church at Waterloo, Ia., and has accepted. Dr. A. I. Berninger, '95-'98, conducts a Sunday afternoon service at moved from Mason City, Iowa, to Irvington, Neb.. where he becomes pastor of the Cong. church. Marshall Meserve, 'OI-'O3, is assistant secretary in the Y. M. C. A. at Redlands, Cal. He also has charge of the boys' work there. and reports an encouraging outlook. E. F. Rice, 'oI-'03, has gone to the training home of the Africa Industrial Mission, Toronto, Ont., with a view, if accepted, of going to the interior of Africa as missionary. T. T. Hays, '98-'99, with his people of the Presb. church at Cuba, Mo., have begun a three months' soulsaving campaign. A month of preparation was spent in prayer. Thos. Campbell, '95-'97, pastor 1st Cong. church, EastChicago, Ind., was pleasantly surprised on his birthday, Jan. 2d, by the gift of a purse of money from his members and friends. The Christian church at Traverse City, Mich., for which T. P. Ullom, '97-'98, is pastor, now holds its services in the city opera house, but expects soon to dedicate a $10,000 building of its own.
