Description

This book "Innocent Ignorance" uses two young people" Muna" and "Ella" to expose the level of corruption that has taken over the educational system of this day. "Muna," a descent young woman has been struggling for one square meal on daily basis in a suburb called "Umuaka," she was very fortunate and was taken to a city named "Owerri" by "Mrs. Sarah" a while after her struggle to give her life a meaning especially, in education because she was highly intelligent. Not long after her arrival to the city did she turn the reason around by joining Eric and Ella's group which finally got her ruined and wasted her rare talent. "This night must be the first and last night for me. I will never in life go there again." She weeps the more leaning on Ella as she consoles her. It is now time to leave. They stealthily sneak out of the hostel. When they get to Eric house, he is already set and waiting for them. Muna lost her virginity that night. Ella, on her part is used to the game. Eric takes on them in turn until he was weak and satisfied. While the two are on the bed considering the world as theirs, in came the school's principal and some members of staff. This made them to be thrown in the world of confusion, bitterness and disappointment because they never thought that something of that nature would ever take place. The situation was really tragic to Muna while to Ella it was tragic-comedy. She asked God for help but to no avail, everything seemed worsened. This was because she first turned her back on God after He had made her a princess; she wanted to be a cheat unto God, her creator. Muna was instantly over whelmed by grief after comparing and contrasting between her present and past situation."show more
